Mono BOPET

High or mid barrier mono BOPET for top lidding packaging type. This solution supports our high barrier mono APET film by making the whole packaging solution recyclable. Top lidding films can be supplied with tight seal or peelable versions, with or without the antifog properties. Excluding EVOH and PE polymers from the structure, top lidding film for our APET sheets becomes fully of PET polymer. Barriers are maintained with different coatings, which are widely used in the market and are becoming more popular to substitute EVOH based solutions.

Mono BOPET (Biaxially Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate) films are a type of plastic film made from a single layer of BOPET material. BOPET is a high-performance, versatile, and durable polymer film commonly used in various industries for a wide range of applications. Here’s what you need to know about Mono BOPET films and their uses:

1. Material Composition: Mono BOPET films are composed of a single layer of BOPET material. BOPET is a type of polyester film known for its exceptional mechanical and thermal properties, including high tensile strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to moisture and chemicals.

2. Properties: Mono BOPET films offer several key properties, including:

  • Clarity: These films typically have excellent optical clarity, making them suitable for applications where transparency and visibility are essential.
  • Tensile Strength: BOPET films are strong and have a high tensile strength, which makes them suitable for applications requiring robust and tear-resistant materials.
  • Thermal Stability: They have good thermal stability, allowing them to withstand a wide range of temperatures without deforming or melting.
  • Barrier Properties: BOPET films can be engineered to have specific barrier properties, making them suitable for food packaging and other applications where protection against moisture, oxygen, and other environmental factors is critical.
  • Chemical Resistance: They are resistant to many chemicals, which can be advantageous in various industrial applications.

3. Common Uses: Mono BOPET films have a wide range of applications across various industries, including:

  • Flexible Packaging: They are commonly used as a substrate for flexible packaging materials, such as pouches, bags, and wrappers, due to their excellent barrier properties and durability.
  • Labeling: BOPET films are used for labels on bottles, packaging, and other products due to their clarity, printability, and resistance to moisture and abrasion.
  • Electrical Insulation: They are used as electrical insulation materials in the electronics industry due to their dielectric properties and temperature resistance.
  • Photovoltaics: BOPET films are used as backsheets in solar panels due to their UV resistance and durability.
  • Laminating: They are often used in laminating processes to enhance the durability and appearance of printed materials.
  • Industrial Applications: BOPET films find applications in various industrial sectors, including automotive, construction, and aerospace, where their properties make them suitable for diverse uses.

In summary, Mono BOPET films are versatile polymer films known for their strength, clarity, and barrier properties. They are used in a wide range of industries and applications, including packaging, labeling, electrical insulation, and more, where their specific characteristics are advantageous.
