RETAL had the great opportunity to present complete packaging solutions for the food and beverage at BrauBeviale. Together with preforms, closures and bespoke options, RETAL showed rigid and flexible film packaging solutions. Busy with meeting areas and open to new and existing customers, the RETAL stand was a popular place at the event.
Compatibility of packaging design features with recycling is essential for securing a smooth transition towards a circular plastics economy. Clear monomaterial APET rigid films, rPET films, APET cycle films, top-lidding flexible films were especially popular. There is no doubt that leading brand owners are ready to stay ahead of incoming legislation on Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) and Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive (PPWR).
Retal Baltic Films offers up to 100% post-consumer recycled PET (rPET or PCR) eco-friendly solutions for sustainable packaging. These food contact approved rigid rPET films are versatile for standard thermoforming and Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) applications. RPET films contribute significantly to sustainability by reducing environmental impact.
In collaboration with sister company PET resin producer NEO GROUP, NEOPET CYCLE pellets are the key component in the production of APET cycle films. This state-of-the-art novel technology integrates up to 30% of post-consumed PET flakes to conventional polymerization process of PET. APET cycle films exhibit enhanced quality, transparency, and contributing to the circularity of PET packaging.
Sustainability continues to be the main topic across the food and beverage packaging industry. We’re seeing how increased experience and expertise are bringing ever more innovative solutions. Design for Recycling for PET thermoformed trays is an unavoidable step forward for all our customers and partners. Being able to share samples and conversations showed how RETAL is continuing to make this leap forward throughout our complete packaging solutions portfolio.
Thank you to everyone who visited the RETAL stand.
